Changes To Snap 2025 Nj. Work requirements expanded up to age 52 starting oct. 10 rows new jersey’s supplemental nutrition assistance program, nj snap, provides food assistance to families and individuals with low incomes to help them buy groceries through a benefits card accepted in most food retail stores.

Requirements will expand to age 54 starting in october 2025. Dhs will mail letters explaining the benefit change to all snap households starting next week.
